MARY ANN JOHNSTON - author, Healer, and Occupational Therapist (OT) - graduated from Western Michigan University at the age of 50. She began her career by creating the OT department at the Medical Care Facility in Manistee, MI, then took a position in Mental Health, and finally became an OT traveler, each assignment being for three months. On her first traveling assignment Mary Ann was made aware of having a gift for spiritual healing and began integrating it into her personal life and OT work. She worked in hospital ICU's, out- and in-patient therapies, neonatal, coma recovery, medical-care facilities, psychiatric care, death and dying, and more.
At first, she relied only on Jesus and the Holy Spirit for guidance in the healing of others. Then, after two years, Jesus encouraged her to study various healing modalities. She earned numerous certificates in Healing Touch, Reiki, Advanced Aura/Energy Balancing, Chakra Energy work, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Hopi Indian techniques, and other modalities. Even though she learned modalities and terminology, she continued to rely on her intuition, Jesus, and Spirit.
Mary Ann describes many instances when, as a child and throughout her life, Jesus appeared to her and gave her encouragement, protection, and guidance through His presence and heart-felt mental conversation. Their relationship could be described as an expanded state of consciousness that was personal and loving.
In 2002, after she and George were married and living at Song of the Morning Retreat, Jesus appeared to her, gave her the name Saint Ta to ponder and use, and encouraged her to write books to share her experiences and His words with others. From that point on, Mary Ann’s relationship with Jesus changed, for they began to discuss matters that concern all of us in today's world, no longer just about her. She has faithfully recorded her realizations and His messages in her books.
Eventually she retired from occupational therapy work, and after living in the retreat for fifteen years, she and her husband, George, moved to the beautiful, small village of Onekama near Lake Michigan. Then, in 2019, they moved to Manistee, MI, her childhood home, where they currently live.
Words cannot fully convey the beauty and glory of God, but the way Mary Ann describes divine realities with poetic expression helps us to conceive of them. Through her writings, Jesus and the Holy Spirit have given us guidance, wisdom, and hope at a time of increasing spiritual awareness and transformation, hand in hand with a world of tumult.
OH . . . MY FRIEND
Here might I stay a while . . .
and ponder of the oceans . . .
of the sky . . . so nigh
and yet so far from I.
Here might I play . . .
upon the winds of time. . .
and depth of life . . .
and sing a while of love.
Here might I gladly spend
all my days
with grief of thine . . .
to soothe you and relieve you . . . friend.
Here might I think a while . . .
not too long or chance goes by,
to give myself for you . . .
as I am you and you are love.
Here might I listen . . .
for the tears and quiet thoughts
and words unspoken and pain untold
to send the loveless love . . .
and see a life unfold.
Here might I give you love . . .
and in that love, Oh . . . my friend . . .
you might know that from whence we came
is where we are and are going . . .
All is joyful love the same.

GEORGE JOHNSTON graduated from Yale University in 1956, where he majored in philosophy hoping to find truth and deeper meaning in life. Although he did not find the answers he was looking for, six years later he encountered the sacred science of yoga, which is based on actual spiritual experience. Through the study and practice of yoga he found what he was seeking, and it was far greater than anything he had ever experienced or studied.
In 1962, having felt the benefits of some hatha yoga poses he learned from a book and still searching for truth, George began to attend meditations at the Detroit Art Institute led by Yogacharya Oliver Black, a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda. He read Yogananda’s book Autobiography of a Yogi, feeling his love and absorbing his wisdom, and through meditation, his teachings and attunement with him began to discover the inner peace, love, light and joy Jesus called the kingdom of God. Having found practices and truths that lead to better health, inner contentment and spiritual fulfillment, George began to teach the sacred science of yoga, lead meditations, and teach hatha yoga. For over fifty years, he has shared the truths and techniques of yoga with others.
In 1996, George retired and moved to Vanderbilt, Michigan to be able to live close to nature and meditate with others at Song of the Morning Retreat. He met Mary Ann there when she came for a retreat. They became friends, fell in love and were married in 2000. Two years later, Jesus, accompanied by four other masters, appeared to Mary Ann in ethereal light and form and while mentally conversing with her told her she should write books sharing her experiences and their messages. Over a period of several years he answered her questions and gave her much truth, inspiration and guidance for humanity. She has accurately recorded these conversations and messages in her books.
By studying Yogananda’s writings and Jesus’ new messages, the true meaning of Jesus’ words spoken two thousand years ago, those of John in the prologue to his gospel, and the symbolism in ancient personifications of God becomes apparent, and misconceptions that have caused disunity between different religions and even war are dispelled. George hopes that followers of various spiritual and religious paths will study these teachings and messages for an age of greater empathy and awareness, come to understand and accept them, and that the creeds and beliefs of various religions will eventually be modified to more accurately reflect reality and thus shine as individual facets of the one diamond of universal truth.
OUR SOURCE AND DESTINY
Beloved God, Almighty Origin of us all! May your Light shine bright
in every heart, and may your Will be done on earth as It is in heaven.
To manifest the world, you projected from yourself the vibratory power
of AUM guided by the Light of your Intelligence and Love,
and through intuitive promptings you guide us.
Help us to forgive the past, enter the stillness and silence within,
and see the good in everyone, and everything that happens.
May we heed your gentle promptings and let them guide us.
Thus, we will find the peace and joy we long for, and in time
we will behold the glory of your Light, come to know the
Bliss and Power of your Eternal Love, and live in you.

GOD
God is a perfect Father.
He guides us with the thoughts He
Places in our mind and through the
Words of those who know Him.
God is a perfect gentleman.
He’s never pushy, and He
Lets us think and do
Whatever things we
Choose to think and do.
God is our Savior.
We left Him long ago
And chose to follow ego,
Which led to pain and anguish.
But in the Self, the Atman,
Hidden by the veil of mortal mind and matter,
God’s Light and Love remain in us,
To be revealed when we decide to seek Him.
And when we choose to do God’s will,
We’ll pierce the veil and find
Transcendent beauty, loving power,
Omniscient consciousness,
And we will live in peace and joy forever.
